On Thursday, Aug 19th, the very first Venice Art Crawl went off with a blast! C.A.V.E. Gallery curated a special Pop-up exhibition at James' Beach restaurant - owned by Daniel Samakow - the Venice Art Crawl Co-founder. Below are some photos from the eventful night!

The Venice Art Crawl is a free monthly exploration of the Venice Beach area and the world famous Venice artist community and spirit. During the long history of the Venice Boardwalk area it has served as a home for artists, a haven of creativity, and the place to find many famous galleries. The Art Crawl is an event to help local artists show their art. In recent years areas such as Downtown, Culver City and Silverlake, in an effort to assist spurring local economy have started their own Art Walks.

C.A.V.E. Gallery showcased artwork by: Euth, Macsorro, Paul Garcia, Jennifer Springman, Codak, Gosha Levochkin, Danni Shinya Luo, Anthony Clarkson, Chet Zar, Jeni Yang, Paul Chatem, Patrick Haemmerlein, Josh Hart, Liz Brizzi, Shervin Iranshahr, Hans Haveron & John Park (Who also live painted). We also kept the beat up with DJs BusRider & Tim OKain. Look for next month's Art Crawl Pop-up exhibition, more to come!

Over the years, we have been following Tatiana Suarez's artwork and are always interested to see what she is up to. Tatiana's artwork was a highlight in our 2009 February and May group shows, and the impressive series Tatiana created for her feature show "Coisas Esquisitas" last October at C.A.V.E. Gallery exudes a striking and unsettling beauty that is rapidly drawing national attention.

We were fortunate to spot her first mural last year during Art Basel in Miami's industrial Wynwood district - and are excited to see her continuing to go big and team up with other street artists to create public art of resplendent energy and beauty.

Below is a recent video of a collaborative mural by Tatiana and Ironlak Team members Askew One, Jaes and Enue, created for a New York City playground.
